I really enjoyed the guided walks, especially the peaceful 3 pm and 5 pm options. The traditional room was comfortable, featuring a wooden bath that was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff was friendly and spoke English well, making it easy to communicate. Don’t miss the delicious bento boxes—they had a great variety!

I recently stayed for three nights while exploring the stunning Alishan area, and it was a wonderful experience. The spacious room was both cozy and beautifully designed, complete with a lovely seating area to enjoy tea. I adored the unique wooden bathtub and the complimentary hinoki bath soakers, which made my relaxation time after hiking special. The friendly staff went above and beyond to assist us, and the delicious bento was a highlight of my meals.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The proper Japanese wooden bath was a unique touch, enhancing my overall experience.
I did notice a minor issue with the Wi-Fi connection, which was occasionally slow. While it didn’t significantly impact my enjoyment, it did make it a bit challenging to connect when needed.

superb location on the Old Street, quick access to walking trails, unique wooden bathtub
Hot water availability is quite limited!!! The bathroom, though clean, feels dated and could use some modern touches!!! It's too chilly at night without any heating in the room!!!

We loved the tours, especially the one seeing fireflies and the morning sightseeing. The location is perfect and close to everything. Don't miss the bento box. It's a must-try! The staff is super friendly and offered great suggestions for our stay.
One hiccup was the limited hot water hours, tricky to plan showers after our long days.
